FAQ
Are Compact laminate waterproof for outdoor kitchens?
Yes compact laminate benchtops are considered water proof and are non-porous, however if using in an outdoor kitchen they must not be out in direct weather
What lead times can I expect?
Stock benchtops are available immediately, Made to order and compact laminate can take 10-15 working days
Can Allboards do sink and cooktop cut outs?
No all cut outs are to be done on site by yourself or your tradie
Is a deposit required on my order?
Unless you have an account with us then yes a 50% deposit is required on all made to order jobs
What is the tightest radius I can have on my postformed edges?
Most commonly a 6mm radius can be achieved with all laminate brands, some laminate brand can roll together to a 3mm radius
How much overhang should I allow in my kitchen?
It is recommended that you allow for a 20mm overhang on your benchtop as this will adequately cover the width of your doors or drawer fronts.
Do Allboards measure & install?
Allboards are a Trade supplier so do not measure and install, that’s the Cabbie’s job. However if you can do it yourself DIY we are happy to supply your material.
Can I stick laminate on my existing benchtop?
Yes you can, however it’s not as easy as it sounds. Laminate is brittle and requires special tools for cutting and can snap easily. Once it is laid upon the glued surface there is no room for adjustment so make sure you get it right first time or keep your laminate over sized for trimming. Surface prep is key for proper adhesion. Good luck.
